DAY 1
On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you will be met by a representative from Makweti Safari Lodge and transferred by road (approx 3½ hours) to the lodge. Overlooking the Makweti gorge and with sweeping views of the surrounding forested mountains, this beautifully-located safari lodge is to be found in the pristine, malaria-free Welgevonden Private Reserve, in the Limpopo province which borders the Marakele National Park.

DAYS 2-4
Enjoy early morning and evening game drives, and walking safaris or just relax in the luxury of the lodge. A diversity of game including the largest collection of privately owned white rhino in the world, 16 species of antelope, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and cheetah as well as the rare brown hyena can be seen at Makweti.
DAY 5
Depart at 08h00 for a transfer back to Johannesburg International Airport (3½ hours). Depart on an afternoon flight to Mauritius via SAA or Air Mauritius. Or depart for East London Airport and be collected for a 40 minute raod transfer to Prana Lodge.
DAYS 6-9
We recommend that you spend the next 4 days relaxing and soaking up the sun in your choice of hotel in Mauritius. Or Enjoy the warm waters of the magnificent Chintsa Bay and the fabulous Thai spa at Prana Lodge.
