ACCESS
NEAREST AIRPORT: Private airstrip in the Welgevonden Game Reserve. Johannesburg International Airport.
SELF DRIVE: Makweti is located just 260 kilometers from Johannesburg – journey time is anticipated at 3 hours. The route is an easy drive on mostly highway and good quality provincial roads. There are toll fees on route and should be paid in cash.
TRANSFERS: Transfer services are available on request and include a meet and greet service at OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg), or a hotel.
All passengers arriving by road are required to be at the Welgevonden Main Gate at 13:00 for a transfer to the camp. Transfers other than the scheduled transfers from / to the Welgevonden main gate (13:00 on arrival or 12:00 on departure) will be charged a private transfer rate.
